Rules and Regulations
- ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, July 27, 2011
- CANCELLATION POLICY: A full refund will be provided for cancellations
received in the County Am office by 5:00 p.m. on July 15, 2011 Cancellations
after July 16 but before July 30, 2011 will result in a refund of 50% of the
entry fee. No refunds regardless of circumstances will be provided after July
30, 2010. We are not responsible for lost or misdirected entries or cancellations.
- AGE RESTRICTIONS: All age limits will be based on the participants age
on or before the event start date, i.e. participant must not have reached his or
her 19th birthday on or before July 31, 2011.
- DRESS CODE: The tournament will adhere to the dress code/policies of
the host facilities. Proper golf attire required i.e. collared shirt, Bermuda length
shorts. No jeans, cutoffs, or cargo pants please.
- USGA HANDICAP: All participants must have a verifiable USGA or equivalent 18- hole handicap.
- STARTING TIMES/COURSE ASSIGNMENT: All players will be notified of their starting time/course
assignment no later than Wednesday, August 3, 2011 via e-mail or phone. Tee times and course info will
also be available on www.montcoamateur.com
AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP:
- Open to Montgomery County residents Only
- Regular Division:- USGA Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower at date of entry
- Senior Division:- Participants must be at least 50 years of age or older on
or before July 31, 2010 - USGA Handicap Index of 10.0 or lower at date of entry
- Women’s Division: - Open to all ages - USGA Handicap Index of 15.0 or lower at date of entry
- Men’s Super Senior Division: - Participants must be at least 65 years of
age on or before July 31, 2011 - USGA Handicap Index of 14.0 or lower at date of entry
HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP:
- No residency requirements
- No handicap limits
- USGA Handicaps will be verified and based on the July 27, 2011 deadline
- Men’s Division: Age 49 and under
- Senior Division: Age 50 and older
- Women’s Division: All ages
- FLIGHTS: all players will be flighted within their respective division
based on their USGA Handicap and the amount of entries received
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP:
- Must be a Montgomery County Resident
- All participants must not have reached their 19th birthday on or before July 30, 2011
- WALKING ONLY COMPETITION – no carts, pull carts or caddies will be permitted
